FAQ

What on earth does "Der Osnec" mean?

It's "censored" backwards. Nina just likes to confuse people, so she put a space in a place that made (some sort of) sense.

How is it pronounced?

"dehr-ohs-ness" is technically how you would hear a recording of the word "censored" be played backwards, so that's how you would pronounce it fowards, too.

Is there a special meaning behind the name?

Nina likes to think that all bands (or persons with psudonyms) have a purpose behind naming things, and likewise she does too. However, she doesn't like to be vague— in fact, she tends to be extremely blunt in her meaning when she explains things. Consequently, "censored" backwards means exactly that.

What is the story behind the title of the new album (Justicsuss)?

Again, it's a word play. Nina really likes to mess with titles to have double meanings if she can. In this case, as the illustration hopefully illustrates, Justice + Narcissus = Justicsuss.

This kind of music would be perfect for a project I'm working on... Would I be able to hire Der Osnec for an original composition?

Of course! She has done the music for a few small projects and films already, most notably "Day One" which played at the Toronto International Film Festival's Student Showcase in 2009. However, you'll need to contact her for specifics and quotes because each project is different.
